adventures for the summer

I've been thinking over the last few days of what I'd like to do this summer. Some of these are just for fun, others tie in with my plans for simplifying things.

  • Keep on decluttering
  • Get outside more, even if it's just to sit and read on my bench in the sunshine
  • Have a picnic
  • Spend ten lovely relaxing days house sitting in the countryside
  • Get some wedding photos printed and up on the wall (it's more than 2 years since the wedding!)
  • Pick lots of sweet peas from our garden to enjoy in the house
  • finish knitting my poncho
  • Make my own laundry liquid
  • List some things to sell on eBay
  • Knit a jar jacket for Curly Girl (she wants it blue with clouds on - any ideas/patterns for knitting clouds? The only idea I have is sewing on clouds made from felt)
  • Have a trip to the coast
  • Take more photographs

I'm looking forward to all of these, especially our break in the countryside and taking more photographs. What adventures are you planning for this summer?

    1. We have a ruined castle about half an hour away with a lovely view across the estuary, I have wanted to spend some time there for a long time, so that might be the place, I think.

  2. I like your list and they are doable! I try to get outside every day and sit. I tend to hibernate in the summer due to the humidity.

    1. Oh, me too! I really don't like hot weather, but we've had so much bad weather in the last eighteen months or so, I don't like to complain about the sun!

    1. I really have got to get going with ebay, it's a bit daunting, but I have lots of things I could sell. We had some success selling books on Amazon a year or two ago, I think Amazon is a bit more straightforward.

  4. Your bench looks so idyllic! Hope you have some perfectly cool and breezy weather so you can enjoy it. I am jealous of your sweet peas too! I think you have a beautiful summer ahead of you indeed.

  5. I love my bench, it belonged to my late auntie and her husband gave it to me. I think of her every time I use it :)
